As parents we understand how difficult it is to be separated from your child, therefore we see it as our responsibility do all we can to ensure that the Nursery is a close extension to your child’s home life.

  • Settling in – Leaving your child alone for the first time could be very daunting. We want to work closely with parents/carers to make this a positive experience.

To help aid this we offer:

  • Key person for each child –who will be your main point of contact. The key person will lead the settling in process and will focus on your child’s needs and development.
  • Sharing information- regularly and further offer parents to take part in nursery life where possible.
  • An understanding of your child’s likes, dislikes, routines and to offer activities and experiences that are stimulating and exciting.

At St Nicholas Nursery it is important for us to work closely and share a good relationship with you as parents/carers. We therefore believe in an open door policy where you are always welcome to come and speak to us informally or formally, during parents’ evenings, suggesting ideas or sharing any information/news about your child’s progress both at nursery or at home.
